EPA Seeks Small Businesses for Landfill Panel

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is forming a small business panel to help review the agency’s New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) for municipal solid waste landfills.

The Washington-based agency is inviting small businesses, governments and non-profit organizations to participate, according to an EPA news release.

The EPA is required by the Clean Air Act to review new source performance standards every eight years and revise them if necessary. The EPA must complete its review and its proposed actions by Feb. 4, 2014, and take final action by Dec. 17, 2014.

The participants will provide advice and recommendations on the potential impact of the proposed rule on small entities. Companies can nominate themselves by July 5 by contacting the EPA.
