Rumpke Buys Waste, Landfill Assets from Forest Green

Rumpke Consolidated Companies Inc. has agreed to purchase waste collection and landfill operations from Forest Green Waste Service in Harrison, Ohio, for an undisclosed amount.

The Cincinnati-based Rumpke’s purchase of certain assets from Tunnel Hill Partners includes the New Baltimore Construction and Demolition Landfill in Hamilton County, Ohio; All Star Container Corp.; and portable restroom operations, Rumpke said in a news release.

With the purchase of assets from the Harrison-based Forest Green, Rumpke adds about 15,000 residential customers, including one municipal contract, and more than 300 commercial accounts. Rumpke also acquired about 30 vehicles and a small team of employees.

 “This is an excellent opportunity for us.  We want this transition to be a seamless one for our customers,” said Jeff Rumpke, vice president at Rumpke.
