Tioga County, NY Abandons Weekly Curbside Recycling Program

Tioga County, NY is abandoning its weekly curbside recycling program, which was established in 1992 because it is too costly. In January 2021, a new source separation measure will take effect.

Residents who take their trash to a transfer station or a landfill will now be charged a recycling fee under the new program.
