Staying true to a pledge it made in 2022, Starbucks is allowing customers to use their personal cups for all orders to reduce waste.

Customers can now use their own personal cup for any orders placed in Starbucks stores, drive-thru, and via the Starbucks app. This new policy follows Starbucks’ pledge to reduce waste by 50% by 2030.

Customers can also benefit from the new policy by saving money. Each order going into a customer’s personal cup will save them 10 cents and earn them 25 bonus starts if they are U.S. Starbucks reward members (at participating locations).

The hope is that this change will lead to fewer cups used at Starbucks each day, resulting in fewer Starbucks cups ending up in landfills.
