On the Move: Week of September 4, 2023

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) announced Ross Eisenberg, Vice President of Federal Affairs at ACC, will take the helm of ACC’s Plastics Division and lead the association’s plastics advocacy beginning on Sept. 18. The move fills the vacancy created in the Plastics Division last June.

A lawyer by training, Eisenberg joined ACC in early 2020 after nearly eight years leading energy and resources policy with the National Association of Manufacturers.

In total, he brings more than two decades of political, legal and regulatory experience to ACC’s Plastics Division.

Beyond Plastics, a nationwide project based at Bennington College, continues to expand with the recent addition of two new staff members. The organization has appointed Jess Conard — a highly effective advocate from East Palestine, Ohio — as its first-ever Appalachia director and Nyah Estevez as a New York City-based community organizer.

Conard is a licensed speech pathologist who quit her job and dove headfirst into grassroots advocacy after a train carrying vinyl chloride derailed in her East Palestine community in February.

Estevez is a skilled environmental advocate and grassroots organizer hailing from New York City, where she’ll be assisting Beyond Plastics in its nationwide grassroots efforts.

BTR announced that Eric Voss has been promoted to Chief Sales Officer for the company. Eric is responsible for all revenue and marketing functions for BTR and will report to President Zach Martin.

“Since joining BTR in 2019, Eric has been a high performer in both roles as Director of National Accounts and Vice President of Refuse Sales which made him a natural fit for this important strategic position. Eric’s addition to the C-Suite team will provide BTR with a long-term vision around how our best-in-class sales and marketing organization can create value for our customers and shareholders,” said President Zach Martin.

TerraCycle Inc., the international leader in innovative sustainability solutions, today announced Damian Finio will join the company's global leadership team as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 2.

Finio most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Phibro Animal Health Corporation (Nasdaq: PAHC) and joins TerraCycle with more than 30 years of financial management experience, primarily in the life sciences industry having spent nearly half of his career at AstraZeneca. Finio holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA. Although now inactive, he was also a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Treasury Professional earlier in his career.

Waste Pro is pleased to announce Mike Fernandez is joining the company as Vice President of Post Collections. Mike is a highly experienced senior executive with over 25 years of experience in the solid waste and recycling industry.
