FCC Environmental Services Expands Midwest Presence, Compressed Natural Gas Operations

Houston-based FCC Environmental Services has secured a new contract with the city of Saint Paul, Minn.

The seven-year agreement covers services for 90 percent of the municipality and totals $115 million. The new contract brings FCC’s solid waste collection services to 300,000 residents.

"We are thrilled to announce this significant contract award and partnership, which represents a pivotal strategic milestone as we expand our geographical reach further into the Midwest market,” Dan Brazil, FCC's CEO. “We are honored to bring our high-quality services and sustainability approaches to the Capitol city.”

In addition to providing solid waste collection services, FCC has agreed to invest more than $25 million in a new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Station, purchase 30 CNG-fueled collection trucks, acquire fully electric pickups for route managers as well as an electric box truck for bulk and appliance pickup.

FCC also noted that also will hire more than 59 new employees as a result of the contract, which begins on Nov. 1, 2024.
