Dubatt Battery Recycling has opened the first fully integrated battery recycling plant in the UAE in Dubai Industrial City.

The $33 million recycling plant will manufacture ingots to be used to produce new batteries, which is in line with the circular economy goals of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s Operation 300bn program.

Battery products will be sold in the UAE and exported throughout the GCC, Europe, and the Far East.

The plant will be equipped with advanced battery breaking, separating, smelting, and refining technologies that will allow the facility to safely extract hazardous waste from used batteries.
