The 15th annual Recyclemania, the recycling competition for universities and colleges, just concluded, with a total of 80.1 million million pounds of material recycled or composted. A total of 394 schools, accounting for 4.5 million students, in 49 states and Canada participated in the program.

Here are the 10 schools that achieved the highest recycling rates and four others that were recognized for their creativity and their specific efforts around organics, waste minimization and total volume of materials recycled. 

One entry included a reworking of Megan Trainor's "All About the Bass" into a waste-themed song, embedded below. (Hey, haven't we seen that before?)
