EURIC Study Notes Secondhand Textiles as 70 Times More Sustainable

New research from EURIC states the benefits of secondhand textiles include "significant" CO2 and water savings.

The data was released just after the launch of the EU’s Strategy for Sustainable Textiles, which requires EU members to begin separate textile collection by 2025.

While the analysis advocates for reuse systems, it also noted the recycling will also be key to creating and maintain a circular system, even in the case of transportation emissions.
