Las Vegas Transitions to Single Stream Recycling System

The program aims to streamline the city’s waste and recycling services.

Republic Services is helping the city of Las Vegas transition over to a single stream recycling system. The company began the transition last year and currently has about 60,000 residences left to move over to the new program.

Instead of picking up trash twice a week and recycling once every other week via stackable crates, Republic will pick up trash and recycling on the same day once a week via new carts. The company will also offer bulk pickup twice a month and the option to request a third cart for additional waste or recycling materials.
