Recovered Paper Consumption Drops in November 2010

The consumption of recovered paper by U.S. businesses declined 6 percent in November 2010 when compared with the preceding month, according to the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA). The consumption of recovered paper was 3 percent less than in November 2009.
Conversely, during the first 11 months of 2010, U.S. businesses’ consumption of recovered paper increased 7 percent when compared with the same period in 2009.
During the first 10 months of 2010, the amount of recovered paper exported from the United States declined 2 percent when compared with the same period in 2009, according to AF&PA.
