Industrial Services’ Net Income, Revenue Jump Dramatically

Louisville, Ky.-based Industrial Services of America Inc. experienced dramatic increases in both its earnings and revenue during the second quarter of this year. The firm posted a net income of $2.3 million on $92.8 million in revenue in second-quarter 2010. During the same period in 2009, Industrial Services posted a net income of $922,210 on $39.1 million in revenue.

“The quarter ended with much stronger than expected orders, but we continue to be cautious as certain economic indicators suggest that the current recovery may be slowing,” said Harry Kletter, chairman and CEO of Industrial Services, in a press release.

Industrial Services buys, processes and markets metals and other recyclable commodities, and also offers programs and equipment to help customers manage their waste streams.
