Canadian Plastics Association Promotes Polystyrene Recycling

The Toronto-based Canadian Plastics Industry Association reports that almost 3,000 tons of expanded polystyrene (mostly used for protective and transport packaging) were recycled in Canada in 2013.

In addition the association says that many Canadian cities already collect polystyrene (PS) foam (and nonfoam rigid PS) through curbside and depot recycling programs, and this model could work elsewhere.
