Discussions around per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are on the rise, as these “emerging contaminants” are persistent in the environment and resistant to environmental degradation. In 2021’s Super Session, we discussed what PFAS are and how they can be treated. This year, we’re picking up where we left off and will take a further dive beyond the basics of PFAS. In part one, speakers will provide current research and legislation and regulation updates, and in part two, they will cover treatment options and technologies.

Speakers:
David Pepper, Vice President, Post Collections, GFL Environmental
Joe Benco, Republic Services - GWMS
Sam Nicolai, Vice President of Engineering & Compliance, Casella Waste Systems
Stephanie Bolyard, Courtesy Professor, Florida State University
Steve Menoff (Moderator), Senior Vice President
