Waste Connections Inc Acquires Secure Energy Assets

Waste Connections Inc. has acquired Secure Energy Services Inc.’s energy waste treatment and disposal facilities in Western Canada.

The transaction is reportedly valued at CAD$1.075 billion and includes a portfolio of 30 sites. The transaction closed following the Canadian Competition Bureau’s consent on January 30.

Waste Connection acquires 18 treatment, recovery, and disposal facilities including six landfills, four saltwater disposal injection wells, and two disposal caverns.
