Over 15 Percent Jump in Waste Dumped Into Delhi's Landfill Yearly

On average, Delhi produced 10,990 tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) each day in April 2021. This waste was then divided with 49.65 percent going to MSW processing facilities and 50.35 going to landfills. By April of this year, 11,293 tons were reportedly created each day, with a much less even divide of 43.6 percent going to MSW processing facilities and 56.4 percent going to landfills.

It is predicted that the daily waste produced in Dehli will increase by 4,952 tons by April 2024.
