Niagara County Weighs Hazardous Waste Landfill

CWM Chemical Services is seeking to open a hazardous waste landfill in Niagara County, NY. The company expects the site would bring $1 billion in economic impact to the region during its lifespan.
Opponents says the 43.5 acre landfill are arguing that the 6 million tons of hazardous waste would have a negative environmental impact, outweighing the benefits.
