Fire Contained at Nacogdoches Landfill
A landfill at a Nacogdoches landfill is being tended to by firefighters, however, smoke is expected to remain in the areas for days.

The Nacogdoches Fire Department reported to a landfill fire at around 3 am on Tuesday morning. Firefighters entered the scene and saw a fire burning a large brush pile right inside the entrance of the landfill. The fire is now contained and is not believed to be a danger to surrounding structures. Officials say locals should expect smoke in the area for the next couple of days.
