Dane County to Expand Landfill, Build Business Park

Dane County, Wisc. plans to construct a landfill and recycling campus on Yahara Hills Golf Course, and residents are raising concerns.

The County Board entered an agreement with Madison, Wisc. to purchase 232 acres of the golf course in exchange for reduced tipping fees

Dane County has started the permit process for a new, 83-acre landfill. Officials have signed an agreement with SCS Engineers to plan a sustainability campus.
