Central Tennessee Seeks to Ban Trash from Outside Counties

The Central Tennessee Regional Solid Waste Board is seeking to reduce at least 70 percent of the trash entering Rutherford County.

The authority says that nearby Davidson County comprises close to half to the waste that arrives at the Middle Point landfill. Chemical reactions due to the waste composition have increased as a result.
