CFC Recycling and CFC Auto Salvage announced new owners Andrew and Alex Rice. This marks a new chapter in the journey of these companies, which have been industry leaders for 35 years. The brothers are the second generation to lead the organizations, following in the footsteps of their parents, Tom and Karen Rice, who founded CFC Recycling in 1989.

CFC Recycling is a full-service recycling business with locations in Tullahoma and McMinnville, Tenn.

The company employs over 80 people in various eco-friendly jobs. With hundreds of industrial clients, they specialize in recycling metal, cardboard, paper, plastic, wood and glass.

Elemental Recycling ("Elemental"), a  Houston-based company that produces high-purity graphene and hydrogen from mixed and contaminated plastics and other organics, announced that David Hudson has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer ("CEO"). Elemental is an investment of Freestone Holdco, LLC ("Freestone"), a portfolio company of Tailwater Capital LLC ("Tailwater")

Hudson is a trailblazer in the sustainability and circular economy space and brings more than 20 years of experience shaping sustainable solutions across diverse industries. 

Based in Houston, Elemental Recycling has developed and is commercializing a patented, single-step process to produce high-purity turbostratic graphene and hydrogen from waste plastics and other organic material.

Liberty Tire Recycling announced today Andrew Meurer joined the company as President and Chief Commercial Officer. Meurer joins Liberty after more than 12 years at Michelin, most recently as Vice President of Sales for the North American Passenger Tire Division. Prior to Michelin, Meurer spent decades at Procter and Gamble (P&G) and Kimberly-Clark. Meurer will spearhead Liberty's efforts to collaborate with tire manufacturers and tire retailers to expand existing and design new sustainable end-of-life solutions for tires.

As the largest tire recycler in North America, Liberty is committed to expanding existing markets, identifying new opportunities, and finding the highest and best use for tires in order to ensure every end-of-life tire is kept out of landfills.

NW Natural Renewables Holdings, LLC (NW Natural Renewables), a wholly owned subsidiary of Northwest Natural Holding Company (NYSE:NWN) (NW Natural Holdings), has promoted Anna Chittum to president of NW Natural Renewables.

Chittum replaces Mike Kotyk at NW Natural Renewables, which focuses on providing renewable natural gas (RNG) to a variety of sectors.

Raven SR Inc. (Raven), a renewable fuels company, announced the appointment of Stuart A. McFarland to its Board of Directors, effective January 2024.

McFarland's appointment marks a significant addition to Raven SR's Board and leadership team. His deep financial expertise and management and strategic vision have been shaped by a career that includes his role as a Director of the Brookfield and OakTree Funds and executive roles at large financial institutions, including EVP and General Manager of GE Capital Mortgage Services, EVP Operations and CFO of Fannie Mae, leadership roles at several other closed and open end mutual funds, and as a director at several Fortress Investment managed companies.

The Raven SR technology is a non-combustion thermal, chemical reductive process that converts organic waste and landfill gas to hydrogen and Fischer-Tropsch synthetic fuels.

Trojan Technologies announced their plan to sell the Salsnes Filter business to current and former members of the Salsnes management team, with an anticipated closing of the transaction in mid-January 2024. Following the closing, Salsnes Filter will be a standalone organization and no longer an affiliate of Trojan Technologies.

The transaction will provide Salsnes-Filter with the opportunity to reinvest further in their solids separation filter technology to better serve the demands of the water treatment industry.  

Headquartered in Canada, Trojan Technologies applications and markets served include municipal wastewater, drinking water, environmental contaminant treatment; residential water treatment; ultra-purification of water used in food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical processing, and semiconductor applications; and filtration.
