Advanced Disposal Acquires B&W Waste

Advanced Disposal Services, Inc. announced that it has acquired assets of Madison, Ga.-based B&W Waste, Inc. The purchase includes a municipal solid waste transfer station in Madison; 1,200 commercial, roll-off and residential customers including contracts; 19 trucks and 780 containers. The Jacksonville, Fla.-based company made the move to expand its operations in middle Georgia.
B&W Waste has provided solid waste collection services to residents and businesses in the Georgia counties of Greene, Jasper, Morgan, Newton, Putnam, Rockdale and Walton since 1986. The firm’s 13 employees, including owners Larry and Alesia Bishop, will join Advanced Disposal and will continue to operate out of B&W Waste’s current administrative offices in Madison.
“Larry, Alesia and their employees have provided excellent service to their customers in the middle Georgia market as evidenced by their long standing and loyal customer base,” said Advanced Disposal’s regional vice president, Charlie Gray, in a press release. “Those customers can be assured they will continue to receive the most responsive and environmentally responsible solid waste services possible.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
