Waste Management Opens CNG Fueling Station in Florida

Waste Management Inc. has opened a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in West Melbourne, Fla., to serve its Brevard County fleet.

Houston-based Waste Management has 35 CNG trucks serving Brevard County and 262 throughout Florida, marking the largest CNG waste industry fleet in the state, according to a news release.

By 2019 Waste Management will have more than 500 CNG vehicles serving its residential and business customers in Florida.

The company now has 58 fueling stations in the state. Overall, Waste Management has invested more than $90 million in CNG trucks and fueling stations in Florida.
