FMCSA Reduces Carrier Registration Costs

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) released a final rule that establishes reductions in the annual registration fees states collect for the Unified Carrier Registration Plan and Agreement.

The fees will be reduced 14.45 percent below the 2018 fee level and will remain at the same level for registration years beginning in 2020 and will remain the same unless revised in the future.

“The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) appreciates the work of the FMCSA on behalf our member companies. This decision makes clear that the agency recognizes the financial burden administrative costs can put on businesses,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith in a statement.

More information about the final rule can be found here.
