TruStar Energy is building for the city of Denver a compressed natural gas (CNG) station for waste and recycling trucks.
The Fontana, Calif.-based TruStar is breaking ground on a large time-fill/fast fill CNG fueling station for the city to be completed next spring, the company said in a news release. When completed, it will be able to handle 136 vehicles simultaneously.
Denver operates seven CNG waste and recycling trucks and plans to have 28 percent of its refuse fleet converted to CNG by 2018.
