Royal Oak, Mich. to Begin Free Composting Drop-Off Pilot Program this Month

Royal Oak Farmers Market in Royal Oak, Mich. is starting a composting pilot program for the community.

Starting on February 24, Royal Oak Sustainability will offer residents a free composting drop-off site on Saturday mornings. The composting drop-off will be available for three months to measure interest in the town as the organization works to reduce food waste.

Royal Oak Sustainability will also work with the Metro Food Rescue group to help caterers, schools, and others with large-scale food donations make deposits for composting.
