New Startup Aims to Recycle 95 Percent of High-Value Content From Solar Panels

With an exciting rise in the transition to renewable energy sources, the number of solar panels in use throughout the United States is taking off.

While this is a great leap in the right direction, there remains one large, undeniable problem with solar panels that startup Solarcycle aims to solve; solar panel waste.

Currently, solar panels have a lifespan of roughly 25-30 years and 90 percent are destined to end up in landfills. Solarcycle is confident in their technologies ability to tremendously decrease this percentage by extracting a great deal of material from each solar panel to be returned to the cycle or put to use in other ways.
