TerraCycle has been known as assisting companies with finding solutions to hard-to-recycle items such as wrappers and pens.

California-based nonprofit The Last Beach Cleanup recently filed a suit against TerraCycle alleging the company's programs are so restrictive that they are essentially allowing corporations to get away with greenwashing. 

The suit also questions what actually happens to the items that are recycled through the company.
