Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County has launched a new online recycling drop-off finder, making it easier for residents to find facilities in their area.

The website includes a searchable database and map to identify drop-off locations for disposal or recycling, including sites that accept hard-to-recycle materials.

The web page will have additional information on recycling provided by the county’s health department.

While the recycling drop-off finder does not provide information on curbside recycling pickups, it does provide education to residents who wish to recycle materials such as batteries, electronics, and tires, and where to take them. These items are generally not accepted through curbside pickups.

The online form should be especially beneficial to residents who have no curbside recycling pickup programs.
