The Conyers, Ga.-based Pratt said the operation will occupy a new 250,000 sq.-ft. building next to its existing box-making plant. The company expects to complete construction of the facility by July 2015, according to a news release from the Indianapolis-based Indiana Economic Development Corp (IEDC).
The Pratt operation, Pratt Paper (Indiana) LLC, expects the new facility to create up to 137 new jobs by 2018. The 100-percent recycled paper facility will include a wastewater pretreatment facility and road improvements. When it reaches full capacity the new mill will make 360,000 tons of recycled paper annually.
The IEDC offered Pratt up to $1.2 million in conditional tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans.
