RALEIGH, N.C.  – Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, announced today it closed on the purchase of Dumpstars, LLC and Discount Dumpsters, LLC., in the greater Raleigh, NC marketplace effective December 30, 2021.

The acquired assets from both Dumpstars and Discount Dumpsters include roll off trucks, containers and commercial contracts in Wake, Johnston and Durham counties. In addition to waste and recycling collection, the acquisition of Dumpstars includes portable restrooms which is a new line of business for Meridian Waste in Raleigh with this purchase.

“Enhancing our collection assets and density in the Triangle marketplace is a priority for Meridian Waste as we have fully integrated collection and disposal facilities here in this incredibly fast growing market” said Walter “Wally” Hall, Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Waste. “Tuck-in acquisitions such as Dumpstar and Discount Dumpsters are strategic growth opportunities for Meridian Waste that allows us to deploy our capital in ways that improve our financial margins and operational performance.”

The terms of the asset purchase agreements remain private. This marks Meridian Waste’s third and fourth acquisitions in North Carolina and the nineteenth and twentieth acquisitions since the company transitioned to private stock under the ownership of Warren Equity Partners (WEP) in April 2018.
