Seneca Meadows Inc. Faces Hurdles with Landfill Expansion

Seneca Meadows Inc. filed to expand its landfill operation in Seneca Falls, New York during the week of July 19, 2020. Town officials claim they only recently found out about the permit application.

The Seneca Falls Town Board will hold additional meetings and receive public input during the process, but the timing caught them by surprise.

The company is planning a 50-acre expansion that would lead to 15 years of operational space given current fill rates. However, a local law bans landfills from operating beyond December 2025.
