Determined MTG Players find over $250,00 Worth of Cards in Local Landfill

One very determined Magic the Gathering player was able to track down six pallets of cards that were thrown away at their local landfill.

A user on the r/pics subreddit shared a picture of cardboard boxes on pallets that contained MTG cards and, shortly after, another Reddit user tracked down the massive treasure. User u/LATINO confirmed the find of 1729 Modern Horizons 2 booster boxes which are selling for roughly $150 to $200 on eBay. So, staying on the more buyer friendly side, the thrown away collection could be worth just under $260,000.

Currently, no one knows why such a large amount of brand new and valuable Magic the Gathering cards would be discarded, although the astonished commentors offered theories of possible defects or that unprepared buyers could be the blame.
