A Look at Waste Management in Casper, Wyoming

From collecting large amounts of waste and recycling materials to putting safety first to communicating with residents about collection delays, J.C. Kirk, solid waste collection supervisor for the City of Casper, Wyo., speaks with Casper Journal about how the city handles services during unpredictable weather conditions and the challenges and dangers that come along with working in the waste and recycling industry.

Casper Journal has more:

A restaurant to-go box flew across the street. It chased a plastic shopping bag and a large piece of sheet packing material, while papers and napkins followed.

They swirled into a yard and dropped like kids playing ring-around-the-rosy before the wind swept them away again.

The resident will be seeing a notice explaining the city ordinance requiring citizens to bag trash and not overfill dumpsters, said J.C. Kirk, solid waste collections supervisor for the city of Casper.
