San Francisco Experiments with New $20,000 Trash Cans

The city of San Francisco has launched a pilot to determine which trash cans it wants to use in the future.
Concept cans used in the first 30 days of a pilot program cost between $11,000 and $20,900. Local news outlets are reporting damaged cans and resident reactions. The second part of the pilot started on August 18.
