Lawmakers in Syracuse Are Skeptical of High Priced Trash Removal

The city of Syracuse wants to see big improvements to its waste collection systems. The most recent proposal will cost the city nearly $600,000.

Syracuse city is looking to modernize its waste collection services to keep up. In order to do this, the city is hoping to use an outside company, but not without paying a pretty penny. The current proposal requires a $577,333 budget to pilot the system with an outside company. Lawmakers in Syracuse are questioning the high price tag.
