Trash is Piling Up in Baltimore

An outbreak of COVID-19 has hit Baltimore’s sanitation collectors. The Department of Public Work’s Eastside Sanitation Yard was forced to close and quarantine its eastside routine service crews, which caused delays in trash pickup and residents are not happy. In addition to piles of garbage outside of homes there are now rats roaming the city.

Residents are calling every day to get the city to pick up the trash. Trash collections should get back to normal this week, however, residents may still see delayed in recycling collection.
