The cost of recycling old televisions is skyrocketing across North Carolina as the price of metals and electronics parts drop to an all time low.
And the price local governments pay will probably continue to rise.
State lawmakers last year considered ending the fee manufacturers pay to recycle televisions.
The suggestion ended up in a study committee.
