French Company Turns Wine into Racing Fuel

A French oil brand is releasing a new product: renewable fuel made from wine production waste.

According to TotalEnergies, the company behind the fuel, this fuel could cut a racecar's carbon dioxide emissions more than 65%. The company's goal? Become a leader in the transition to renewable energy.

The fuel will make its debut at the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
