Clearwater, Fla. – Eliovel Olivera, a residential garbage truck driver in Waste Pro’s Clearwater Division, has earned his first $10,000 Safety Award for safe driving.

Eliovel has been with Waste Pro since July of 2018. He started in the company’s Fort Myers, FL Division before relocating to Clearwater a short time later. He currently services homes in unincorporated Pinellas County and the entire town of North Redington Beach, FL.

In addition to driving a residential rear-load truck, he also has experience driving automated Curotto trucks and container delivery trucks.

“Eliovel is such a hard worker who takes immense pride in what he does,” said Division Manager Daric Huntt. “It makes me so proud to see him earn this award within his first three years with Waste Pro – it goes to show the great things that can happen when people practice safety every day.”

To earn the coveted award, drivers must go three years without an at-fault accident, injury, or property damage. A similar award of $5,000 is offered to helpers.
