The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center in Virginia Beach, Va. is holding two recycling events following the holidays.

Live-cut Christmas trees will be collected just after Christmas and into the new year in support of a marine-focused conversation in partnership with Marine Stewards America (MSA). The trees will be used to restore sand dunes along the Virginia Beach coastline, supporting the local marine ecosystems, controlling erosion, creating habitats for beach animals, and more.

An e-waste recycling event will take place later in January, presented by the PRA Group. Residents can bring personal electronics, used vehicle batteries and more.
