U.S. EPA Issues Important Recycling Reminders

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released a new video with some key reminders about recycling during this time of pandemic. It emphasizes that, “The manufacturing industry is in dire need of raw materials to make products and shipping supplies,” but notes that it’s especially important to “recycle right” during the current public-health crisis.
The EPA reminds everyone to empty and rinse containers, break down boxes, and keep paper and cardboard dry before placing them curbside. The key takeaway, however, is that masks, gloves, wipes and other personal protective gear (PPE) should go in the trash, not into recycling bins.
“Do your part. Recycle more and recycle right.”
