Pringles Introduces Recyclable Paper Tubes for its Chips, Exclusive to Tesco

Popular chip brand Pringles has taken its iconic ‘tube’ look and introduced recyclable paper tubes via an exclusive partnership with Tesco.

Popular chip brand Pringles has taken its iconic ‘tube’ look and introduced recyclable paper tubes via an exclusive partnership with Tesco.

The new tubes have hit shelves this week and replace the former steel base of the Pringles tubes in favor of a paper one while retaining the recyclable plastic lids. Pringles and Tesco expect to sell roughly 48 million of the recyclable tubes in 2024 alone.

“We know people want to reduce their impact to the planet and it’s our responsibility to improve the recyclability of our packaging,” said Kellanova UK MD Chris Silcock.

“We’ve worked hard to develop and test a recyclable Pringles paper tube and we made significant investment in new technology to enable our factories to produce it.”
