Waste Management Announces Executive Moves, Q1 Earnings

Houston -- Waste Management Inc. has named Bob Simpson vice president and chief accounting officer, Don Carpenter vice president of tax, Bruce Snyder vice president of financial services and Mike Clarke vice president of business improvement. The company also has named Bill Trubeck, former executive vice president and chief financial officer, as executive vice president for operations support and chief administrative officer. Waste Management currently is searching for Trubeck’s replacement as chief financial officer.

The company also has reported net income of $138 million for the first quarter of 2002, compared with net income of $124 million for the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter were $2.61 billion, compared with revenue of $2.72 billion for the same period last year.
