Wicked Weed Brewing’s main production facility, in Chandler, North Carolina, has been awarded a GOLD certification under the Total Resource Use and Efficiency (TRUE) rating system, recognizing the facilities zero waste performance.

"Since Wicked Weed was founded in 2012, sustainability has been a cornerstone of our ethos and we're honored that this certification recognizes our commitment to brewing our beer and operating our company with zero waste," said Andrew Dagnan, Director of Safety & Sustainability at Wicked Weed. "We remain more dedicated than ever to having a net positive impact on our people, communities and the environment."

Wicked Weed successfully diverted 99.3% of its waste, only sending 0.7% of its 18 million lbs. of material to landfills in 2023.

As well as diverting its own waste, Wicked Weed installed a community recycling area to collect items that are difficult to recycle.

The brewing facility is only the third brewery in the United States to earn the GOLD certification.
