No Place to Dump: Service to Cease at Davidson County Landfill

Waste Management’s Southern Services landfill in Tennessee will soon stop accepting demolition and construction garbage as a means of slowing down the use of available space.

This is a decision made in response to the growing infrastructure of the area and a concern for how long the landfill will survive.

The plan is set to continue accepting material from just the landfill's home county to allow for continued growth before switching to no exceptions. District 1 Councilman Jonathan Hall exclaims there are many landfills in the area that still plan to accept this waste, "just get it to us," he says he has heard from these other landfills.
