The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Silver Spring, Md., is partnering with Pompano Beach, Fla.-based production company IPITV, to create a nationally-televised series that will inform viewers of solid waste management issues. The “We’re Green and Growing” series will feature 30-minute episodes each with an introduction by SWANA, according to a press release. “This partnership is a great opportunity to educate the public on the importance of environmentally and economically sound solid waste management practices,” Executive Director and CEO of SWANA John H. Skinner said in a statement. “This television series will give us the opportunity to draw attention to the solid waste management issues on a much larger scale.”
