Colorado Considers a Ban on Plastic Bags and Foam Containers

Democratic state legislators in Colorado will introduce a bill that seeks to ban single-use plastic bags and plastic foam containers. It also hopes to overturn a rule that could give cities the power to make further cuts on plastics use. The goal of the bill is to reduce plastic consumption.

Many states including California, Vermont and Hawaii have already banned single-use plastic bags, while plastic foam containers are banned in Maine and New Jersey.
