Interstate Waste Services Acquires Evergreen Recycling Solutions

Teaneck, NJ  – Interstate Waste Services, Inc. (“IWS”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Evergreen Recycling Solutions, LLC (“Evergreen”), based in Newark, NJ.  Evergreen is a LEED certified Material Recovery Facility (“MRF”) and Transfer Station specializing in Construction & Demolition (“C&D”) debris.  Founded in 2007, Evergreen serves Northern and Central New Jersey through its industrial collection and advanced C&D recycling operations. 

IWS is the largest privately held, vertically integrated provider of solid waste collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal services serving the greater New York City and New Jersey markets.  The Evergreen acquisition adds a state-of-the-art C&D MRF to the IWS capabilities.  The Evergreen MRF processes C&D debris into value-added recyclable commodities including  a wood-based renewable fuel used by energy companies as an alternative to coal, ultimately achieving 80%-85% recovery of comingled materials.
