Expansion plans for a Delaware County, Penn. landfill have been approved.
The Delaware County Solid Waste Authority processes about 400,000 tons of commercial and residential trash each year, sending it to an incinerator and disposes of it at the Rolling Acres Landfill.
Expansion discussions for the Earl Township landfill began in November 2018. This approval will add 8.8 million cubic yards of disposal volume and more than 10 years of waste disposal capacity.
